Part of my adaptation to big city living is noise. Traffic noise, train noise, neighbor noise, and sometimes noise of uncertain origin..... some weeks ago we started hearing cannon fire after going to bed. It sounded closer than one would prefer cannon fire to be in relation to ones' self. I quickly figured out it was the fireworks going off to close the Concert in the Gardens event nearby, so I dimissed it and stayed in bed. This has gone on for some weeks now. Last night when it started, I wasn't already in bed, so I went out on the patio to see if any of the fireworks were visible from here. I didn't think they would be as we have a rather limited field of vision from our patio, but lo and behold! We had a fine view. So I grabbed my video camera and now you can have a fine view too!
